“Wamb” is short for Wambierzyce, the name of a town in Lower Silesia, in the South of Poland, where the first sketches of the series were made. The relief prints in the final series of seven were executed at the GPD (Graphic Experimental Workshop) printing facilities in Łódź, Poland. Two series were made: One on semi-translucent, super thin Japanese rice paper, and the other on a Felix Schoeller Turm heavy carton. The photographic reproductions here were taken from the prints on a white carton. The dimensions of a single print are 20 x 14 in. (50 x 35 cm).
